2016 Reunion: THIS SUNDAY!

There are friends in the neighborhood, teammates on local leagues, and cousins who you see over the holidays, but there’s nothing like the bonds of camp friends, and especially bunkmates. Maybe it’s the conversations you have when the lights are out or the stories you tell around the campfire on an overnight. Remember the candlelight ceremony when bunks cluster together and don’t want to leave? Bunkmates are truly special. And on Sunday, November 6th, we can all be together again. Bring your favorite memory of 2016, your plans for PFC 2017, and a hug or high five for every camp friend. We can’t wait to see you there.

Sunday, November 6th
10AM-12PM
The Funplex, Mt. Laurel, NJ

Westchester Bus (Bloomingdale’s in White Plains, NY):
7:15AM Assembly
7:30AM Departure

Reunite!

There are friends at home, teammates at soccer leagues, and cousins who you see over the holidays, but there’s nothing like the bonds of camp friends, and especially bunkmates. Maybe it’s the conversations you have when the lights are out and you’re under the covers, or the campfires on an overnight with just your counselors. Perhaps it’s the candlelight ceremony when bunks cluster together and you can hear a few sniffles. Whatever it is, it’s special. And on Sunday, November 1st, we can all be together again. Bring your favorite memory of 2015, your plans for PFC 2016, and a hug for every camp friend. We can’t wait to see you there.

A Reunion History!

Here are some fun facts about the Pine Forest Camp reunion over the years…

– In addition to parent drop-off, campers are coming by bus from: Maryland, Livingston and Westchester. Do you know of another camp that does that!?

– One year, we had a camper come all the way from Caracas, Venezuela (Note: camp did not provide the plane…).

– Over the years we’ve had our reunion at some pretty interesting locations: The Bellevue-Stratford Hotel, The Marriot Hotel (on City Line Ave.), Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Dick Clark’s American Bandstand, WXPN World Cafe Live and even at camp!

– The reunion was once at the Benjamin Franklin Hotel, featured in the movie, Silver Lining Playbook.

– Reunions used to be 5 hours long. What were they thinking!?

– Over the years, our reunion gifts have been: frisbees, yo-yos, book covers, flashlights, rulers. What will is be this year!?! Let’s just say, we’re keeping the ‘door open’…

– There used to be a lot speeches. Like, too many. Now it’s just fun & friends.

– We’re changing the location next year! This will be our last reunion at the Funplex! It’s crazy, noisy and fun! Any suggestions for next year!?

SEE YOU ON NOVEMBER 2nd at THE FUNPLEX in MT. LAUREL, NJ.DSC00529

Pre-Reunion Reunions!

This is the magic of camp. Of all the activities, the smells, the tastes…The best part of camp is the friends. Memories that last well beyond the summer. All over the east coast this past weekend, just coincidentally, camp friends gathered together simply because they missed each other. At suburban homes, city street festivals, college campuses…All over! This is why we go to camp.
