Calling All Prospective Campers!

Enrollment for our 2017 Explorers Program is now open! Are your children interested in camp but not ready to commit to a long stretch away from home? Send them up for a fun-filled Explorer Weekend or action-packed Play Day! They will have the chance to participate in exciting camp activities (think boating, zip lining, gymnastics, yoga, cooking…you name it!) with other prospective campers while camp is in session. While children are enjoying Explorer Camp, parents can tour Pine Forest and meet with our directors!

For more information or to sign up, check out our Explorers page:

As always, feel free to call the camp office at (267) 639-2488 with any questions.

Spread the word! The more, the merrier!

We Love Our Explorers!

A little rain never stops us! We just had our last Explorer weekend of the summer and boy was it a fun one! We had an amazing group of families with future campers going into 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades. They got to play in the lake (which is extra fun in the rain, by the way!), go on the giant swing at adventure, make projects in arts and crafts and play games with Chad. They were even able to have a campfire despite the weather, by bringing it indoors! They slept in real bunks with real counselors and bunkmates who will soon be their lifelong camp friends. We look forward to seeing them back next summer as PFC campers!

If you are or know anyone thinking about camp, we still have a Play Day on August 6th and would love to share Pine Forest with you! Call the office for more information or register online!

Explorers Depart, College Day Begins

A storm blew through last night and we had some heavy rain for about 15 minutes, but the skies cleared in time for a beautiful sunset and the first 2015 Explorers campfire. These future campers in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade experienced as much of Pine Forest Camp that could fit into a 24 hour period: lake, arts and crafts, ropes course, sports, and even a few s’mores!  We look forward to seeing them back next summer as real, full-fledged campers!

It was a warm, sunny day today at camp with temperatures climbing – a perfect opportunity for an extra period of swim in the lake and the pool. Afterwards, the College Day teams were announced! This year, it’s Wisconsin, Kentucky, Maryland, and Oregon.  Badgers vs. Wildcats vs. Terps vs. Ducks! We will have opening ceremonies tonight and kick things off with counselor wacky relays. We’ll get started with the camper track and field and swim meet competitions tomorrow morning! Stay tuned!

Come Meet Us This Summer!

Explorers

Choosing the right camp for your child is not an easy task.  That’s why Pine Forest offers several options to help ease the transition to sleepaway camp, by actually allowing your child to experience a taste of Pine Forest first-hand.

There are a few great ways to get to know us.

Our Explorer Weekend is the ultimate experience for future Pine Forest campers.  The weekend is designed to provide all the fun and excitement that our campers love, while giving future campers an opportunity to start making connections that will help in their transition to a longer stay at camp.  Explorer campers will experience a full camp schedule including boating at the lake, climbing our adventure course, creating a special project in arts and crafts, games with our athletic director, participating in evening programs, making s’mores at a campfire, and then sleeping in a real cabin – WOW!!

A Play Day has all the wonderful aspects of our Explorer Weekend without the sleepover.

The last way a future Pine Forest camper can experience camp is on a tour. On a tour, you will spend time with our directors and have an opportunity to meet campers and staff and, most importantly, feel the excitement and warmth of Pine Forest Camp.

Enrollment in our programs are limited, so check out your summer calendar and come meet us this summer in Greeley, PA!
