Believe it or not, with boys and girls alike, yoga is one of our most popular choice activities at camp. A nice break from the action-packed day, yoga allows campers to stretch, breathe, and focus. We staff our program with exceptional instructors focused on youth yoga practice, and we also bring in professionals from the local community. (After all, parents, The Spa at Woodloch is only a few miles away!)
Activity Category: Sports & Fitness
Track & Field
Olympic Day, the endurance run, and the famous Hughie & Selma Black 5K Camper Scamper! Campers compete with real numbers and a timer, and our popular running club excites and motivates campers of all ages. Many of our campers compete at the middle school and high school level, and others try running for the first time at camp!
Hockey
Two hockey rinks, roller hockey and street hockey, too. Intramurals and intercamp competition- we’re serious about hockey! Andy, PFC’s boys Head Counselor is a hockey coach in the off-season, so hockey, any kind of hockey, is a big deal at Pine Forest!
Lacrosse
Whether you’ve played LAX before, or are trying it for the very first time, our lacrosse program will help campers of all ages and skill levels learn America’s fastest growing sport!
Flag Football
Flag football has become a fast PFC favorite with boys and girls of all ages! It’s a great way to get moving at camp! There are football intramurals and intercamp games, with college football players and coaches teaching clinics, refereeing, and supervising each class period. The most important part of any sport is making sure everybody gets involved.
Baseball & Softball
Pine Forest offers both baseball and softball. There are teams that play intramural in each age group, and we also field traveling teams that play other camps. There is a pitching machine and two complete baseball diamonds at Pine Forest.
Volleyball
There are two volleyball courts and one beach volleyball court for fast-paced volleyball competition. And Newcombe for our youngest campers!
