College Bound
The “College-Bound” program combines the best parts of being a camper with additional responsibilities and challenges. 11th graders live together with counselors and enjoy the full range of Hi-Seniors activities. CAs participate in leagues, inter-camp games, socials, Color Days, Banquet, Cabaret…the best parts of camp! Plus CAs have unique “college-bound” opportunities which in the past have included:
Washington, DC:
- American University
- George Washington University
- Georgetown University
- Holocaust Museum
- The Kennedy Center
- Georgetown
- Penn State University
Boston:
- Boston University
- Harvard
- Boston College
- Cambridge
- Historic Boston
New York:
- New York University
- Greenwich Village
- Broadway
Community Service
Community Service CAs will have the opportunity to get involved in volunteer work that benefits others. In the past, CAs have helped our neighbor Camp Lee Mar for campers with special needs, Ronald McDonald Camp for children with cancer, and with other local community projects.
Teaching Assistants
Each CA will select a special area of interest before the summer and assist a specialty counselor in teaching younger campers. Athletic campers may learn to coach or referee, creative campers can assist in photography, ceramics or drama, outdoor-oriented campers can help in the hiking or climbing areas, etc.
